What a great picture and reminder of the Jerusalem culture.
To me, these verses also serve as a reminder that if we put our whole hearts, faith, and trust in our Lord, our Lord will surround us because we are His people, and He will protect us forever. Just like the mountain, we will not be shaken as we have our Lord’s protection.
